The minutes from the January meeting were accepted as read.  Membership lists were handed out.

 

Tasks assigned to the secretary:

  1. 1.        Send invitation to Tim Mathiesen, PWCCA President, to hold the 2008 Spring Board meeting in Louisville, pointing out it is centrally located and has easy access to 3 major airports.
  2. 2.        Contact the Ohio Secretary of State to determine how we can keep our self-incorporated status.
  3. 3.        Write to the Louisville Metro Council regarding legislation requiring any dog entering the city to buy a license, including coming in for the Louisville show cluster.  The address:

Report of the Treasurer:  Bob Saffell, full text can be read on the website.  All 2005 members renewed their membership.  The treasury on March 13, 2006 contained $21,314.30 with $8,952.17 in the rescue balance.  Bob reported that the silent auction brought in $1700.

Ad Hoc Committee:  Adrienne Saffell was present to go through the proposed changes to the by-laws.  Some items were simply grammatical changes to make the original wording clearer.  The proposed changes have been sent to the AKC Club Relations to determine if these changes would be acceptable.  Once the committee hears back from the AKC, they will bring the proposals to the membership for input and/or approval.

July 15, fun day at park at JoAnn Ruehl’s home in Aurora, Indiana

September 2, Lexington Horse Park, Lexington, Ky. (supported entry- judge Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine and puppy match)
